What is a vampire?
The origin of the word "Vampire" comes from Slavic folklore and means "spirit that returns from the dead."
Vampires are ‘The walking dead’ Creatures of the night that suck the
blood from their victims, leaving them pale-faced and lifeless. They have been
a popular figure in horror stories for hundreds of years, but what makes
vampires so terrifying?
In this blog, I will explore some of the lesser-known facts about Vampires, including how they have been portrayed throughout
history, who was the first written vampire of all time, and why vampires are so
fascinating to us.
History of the Vampire!
Vampires have been a part of human history since the beginning of time. The earliest reference to vampires was found in ancient Sumerian cuneiform tablets from 3000 BC.
These tablets referred to creatures that were
described as “night demons” who left their bodies at night to drink blood from
men and animals.
The Ancient Greeks believed that vampirism was caused
by an evil spirit known as a daemon, who would possess people and make them
murder.
In many cultures, it is believed that Vampires
are actually ghosts or spirits of dead people who come back to take revenge on
the living.
The First Vampire
The first Vampire story can be traced back to Bram
Stoker's Dracula being one of the most famous vampires in the world. The
character was named after Vlad the Impaler, who was notorious for his cruelty
towards his enemies.
Different Types of Vampires!
There are three types of real Vampires: Sanguinarian, Psychic, and Hybrids.
Sanguinarian Vampires
These kinds of vampires feed on very trifling amounts
of humanoid blood, normally just a few droplets.
Psi (Psychic) Vampires
Psychic vampires are also known as energy vampires
and are said to be fed upon the life force or energy of other living beings.
Hybrid Vampires
These vampires are a cross-breed of two or more
numerous supernatural species like werewolves and vampires and get their food
from the blood or flesh of humans or animals.
Vampire’s Behavior & Habits!
From a behavioral perspective, what do vampires have in common? The answer is that they share many characteristics with psychopaths including manipulation through charm.
In fact, one of the most famous fictional blood-suckers
Dracula was based on Vlad the Impaler, a ruler who literally impaled his
enemies alive.
What do Vampires Eat?
Vampires eat blood. They drink it and they inject it
into their bodies. It is a significant
thing to keep them healthy and alive. They require a steady supply of it to
survive and if they don't get enough they die.
Vampires use the blood to replace the blood that has
been lost in battle or through accident or other means. They also use it to
keep their bodies strong, healthy, and young-looking.
The key to keeping your body strong by drinking human
blood is to not kill your prey immediately after you have fed on him but to
keep him alive and feed upon his body whenever needed.
How do Vampires Reproduce?
The thing about Vampires is that they can’t reproduce like humans. They have to turn humans into vampires. But the question is how do they do it?
The answer is Vampires need to bite their victims on the
neck. With every bite, the vampire injects a virus called Vampirism Virus inside
of his victim's bloodstream.
This virus then travels around the body, infecting all major organs and tissues, which cause them to mutate.
The virus did not cause any symptoms at first,
but after around 6 months it would start to affect the victims' behavior. After
this point they became highly aggressive and started to attack people, biting
them in order to suck their blood.
Vampire Myths and Legends!
Vampires are the stuff of legends. According to legend, they were humans who had died or were un-dead and lived on by Drinking Blood from living creatures.
Most cultures around the world believe that vampires exist somewhere
in their universe, but no one knows whether they really do or not.

The Vampire is a complex creature. It’s a shape shifter, sometimes beautiful and sometimes ugly. Sometimes it’s charming and
other times it is terrifying. Vampires are in fact the representatives of our
fright to death.
But why do we fear vampires so much?
Vampires are unique among monsters because they are human-like creatures that can blend into society, yet they feast on humans without remorse.
